YouTube Friday

Hurray for Friday!

Oh Judd Apatow – I love your movies… sometimes.  Knocked Up? HILARIOUS. Walk Hard: The Dewey Cox Story? Time I will never get back.

I’m curious about this one.  Looks terrible.  While at the exact same time – looks AWESOME! So torn. But I am confident that by the time May comes around… I just might need this kind of movie.

I give you – BRIDESMAIDS

Enjoy!

Have a great weekend!

Meet Miss Faith.

She loves oranges, and I work with her.

Miss Faith is a great story teller and has pretty much the most hilarious sense of humour I have ever come across.  She thinks the strangest things are funny… or scary for that matter… but mostly funny.

Sometimes there are things that most people find clever or worthy of a chuckle; these same things will have Miss Faith rolling on the floor with laughter.  And the best part? She brings you with her! When Miss Faith tells you a story she is enjoying it so much that you can’t help but be right there with her – sides splitting your abs will hurt for days.

To give you an example I’ll tell you a little story.  On Friday’s there are very few people in our office, and last Friday Miss Faith used the Page All feature on our phone system, you know the one in case of emergency, to tell us all in a VERY serious voice “Attention all staff.  The time is now 4:25pm, work will be over in 5 minutes.  Please stop what you are doing, turn off your computers and be ready to leave promptly by 4:30. Thank you.”  She hung up.  I burst out laughing as I hear her in hysterics in her office screaming, “I ALWAYS WANTED TO DO THAT!”

Maybe there was something in her water bottle on Friday because earlier that same day she was retelling an orange juice commercial and could barely get it out since it was SO FUNNY! I can’t even begin to do her story-telling justice.  I can only tell you that after hearing her try to explain it, and then watching both commercials on YouTube we were all in stitches.

So in honour of Miss Faith I give you Florida Orange Juice 2011 commercials.  Miss Faith wanted to be famous and apparently that means being on my blog.  I can’t possibly do her justice.  But I can tell you – I heart her.

This is the one she related to the most

And just for you Miss Faith – I found one more…

Happy Friday – beat the blahs by drinking some OJ

Friday already?!

3 weeks ’til Christmas everyone.  What do I have in the plans for this weekend?  COOKIES! Fun fact about the Boy – he does not like licking beaters… I know what a weirdo.  Fun fact about Meaghan – I may have nearly broken my finger last weekend when I got it stuck between the beaters and accidentily turned the handmixer on.  OUCH!

I’ll try to stay a little safer this weekend.

Anyway, in honour of my love of making cookies, combined with my love for all things Muppet I give you a public service announcement from the one and only Mr. Cookie Monster.

WordPress seems to be a little slow with loading videos these days so if it’s not working, BAH! Check it out here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C-PkQRh3QXA

Cookie Monster wants to host Saturday Night Live and he needs your help! Click here to join the Facebook group and help Cookie Monster be the next host! http://bit.ly/CookieSNL

Happy Friday!

You Tube Fridays

Last day off work.  Second last day in sunny Florida.  Boo.

I found this video before I left.  It made me want to try and see if I could learn to use a different “keyboard.”  It would definitely require a learning curve, but it makes so much sense.

Hmm… I’m not convinced I would have the patience for this. But having spent the week watching 4 1/2 year old twins master an iPhone – I think this could easily become the way of the future.

What do you think?  Could you learn this?
Happy Friday!

Oh I think I just might be on the cutting edge this week.  Alright.  Not cutting edge. But aware of a new viral video within the first week I think that’s pretty good.  One more reason I love Steve Jobs and all things Apple.  Four more reasons I need an iPhone (if only one could be found in this country – ARGH)!

Happy Friday!

You Tube Fridays

YouTube is really helping me out these days with YouTube Fridays.  Today, Yoko Ono is asking the world to spread messages of peace using YouTube in celebration of John Lennon’s 70th birthday.

I’m a Beatles girl through and through.  Saturday Night Oldies were a staple in my house growing up, and the soundtrack to our family road trips was a happy mixture of The Beatles, Niel Diamond, Oldies mixes, and We Sing Silly Songs.

So for this week’s YouTube Friday I give you a tribute I found to John Lennon:

Followed by one of my favourites – In My Life

What’s your Favourite Beatles/John Lennon Song?

YouTube Fridays?

I’ve been reading a lot of blogs lately and I’m noticing that a lot of them have one day a week where they have some sort of theme.  Bitch and Moan Mondays, or Random Musings Fridays.  I like ’em.  And I’ve been trying to think of some kind of theme day.  I spent a little time on YouTube this morning, and well… I’m thinking maybe YouTube Fridays.

I’m toying with the idea of themed videos – as in 2 or 3 that share something in common.  Or maybe if I can find a video that reflects on my week in some way that would work too.  I’m seriously looking for suggestions though – what do you guys think?  Will it work? Is it interesting enough? Is this only going to showcase how behind the YouTube times I am?

In my first attempt I’m going with the theme “Relationships” since this we’re still wrapped up in anniversary week, and because I when I searched Dempsters bread nothing very good came up.

So without further adieu, if I ever found myself in a break up situation, I think this would be a GREAT song to have on your iPod.  I had only heard the radio version which is “Forget You,” it’s pretty fun – but the original is hilarious.  I may have to download it tonight.

I shared this with my friend at work – you can find her over at ahandmadestory.  In turn she showed me this one, and I couldn’t agree more – it’s important in relationships that Boys have skills.

What do you think team? Did these start your weekend off with a smile?

Happy Friday!
